Supporting the Next Generation of HVAC Professionals

Monday April 28, 2025

Dee Cramer is proud to support aspiring HVACR professionals at Ferris State University through the Richard J. Cramer Sr. Scholarship, established in honor of a man whose commitment to excellence and education left a lasting legacy in our industry.

The scholarship was officially established in 2018, with its first award distributed in the 2021–2022 academic year. Since its inception, the scholarship has provided critical financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) program within the College of Engineering Technology at Ferris State University.

Each year, 1 to 3 students are selected to receive the scholarship, which is awarded annually and split between the fall and spring semesters. To date, seven students have benefitted from the scholarship, with a total of $17,318 awarded so far. Each student awarded the scholarship typically receives anywhere from $2,000 to $3,000.

As an endowed scholarship, the Richard J. Cramer Sr. Scholarship is designed to provide ongoing support for many generations of HVACR students to come, ensuring that Dick’s legacy and Dee Cramer’s dedication to the skilled trades continue to make a lasting impact well into the future.

This scholarship not only provides financial relief but also serves as a tribute to Dee Cramer’s passion for mentorship, innovation, and developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. We look forward to continuing this tradition of supporting and celebrating the achievements of future recipients for many years to come.
