Dee Cramer is a pioneer in Building Information Modeling (BIM).  Dee Cramer has been drawing in 3D for almost 20 years.  The company has participated in over 100 projects where some form of BIM was required.  The company is a recognized expert in Lead Coordination/Facilitation of automated clash detection performing this role on over 40 projects.  Dee Cramer has the experience writing BIM Execution Plans, Lead Coordination Specifications and developing and executing efficient Project Coordination Schedules.  In addition, Dee Cramer has the skill and expertise to build Architectural Models on Plan/Spec projects where those models don’t exist.  Once the Architectural Model is built, other trade files like Steel, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection and Pneumatic Tube (Hospitals) systems are brought into the Model and NavisWorks is used for Automated Clash Detection. 

Dee Cramer is one of a small group of  Sheet Metal contractors nationally that has perfected the automated download from drawings to fabrication process which truly makes the integration from design to fabrication seamless.  The company has also been able to harness the technological advancement of taking 3D Design Models uploaded into their estimating system. 

Company President Matt Cramer sits on the National Board of Directors of the buildingSMART alliance where he has been involved on the planning team re-writing the National BIM Standard. (NBIMS)  He is a recognized expert in BIM and has given over 50 presentations in the US and Canada.  Steve Hunt, CM-BIM (BIM/Estimating Support Mgr.) is also recognized as the top BIM Integrator in the Midwest.  Steve has developed a national chapter education program for SMACNA on 3D Coordination/BIM which he currently teaches.  He has also co-developed and teaches a course on Revit for the AGC Michigan.  He is also the certified instructor for the AGC BIM Education curriculum and provided input on content for the National AGC BIM Certification exam.
