Saginaw Valley State University

Project consisted of a multi-story, 90,000 square foot facility accommodating over 2,300 students studying nursing, kinesiology, occupational therapy, health services and social work. The facility is comprised of lecture halls, class rooms, laboratories, a vivarium facility and offices. The HVAC systems consisted of air handlers residing on the penthouse floor with the rest of the mechanical primary equipment located in the first floor mechanical room. Secondary HVAC equipment in the facility was lab fans and other exhaust fans with their related specialized duct systems. Dee Cramer was subcontracted to perform the sheet metal scope of work and lead the 3D coordination effort involving plumbing, HVAC, electrical and fire protection trades.

Michigan State University  Shaw Hall

This Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) project consisted of a single level college major renovation to a dining facility. The building HVAC was supplied by (2) air handling units located in a mezzanine mechanical room. The dining and kitchen HVAC was supplied through a constant volume supply system. The (11) roof mounted kitchen exhaust fans and air handling unit return systems were interlocked to provide energy savings during unoccupied hours. The common areas were supplied by a variable volume system with a ducted return. Dee Cramer was subcontracted to perform the Sheet Metal package on this project.

Lansing Community College  Arts & Sciences Building

This Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) project consisted of a four-story remodel of a general education and science building. The HVAC was supplied by two basement located air handling units and three penthouse located energy recovery units, feeding VAV is w/reheat supply systems. Return air on the first and second floors and general education was plenum return, while the third and fourth floors and laboratories spaces were fully ducted with integrated VAV exhaust. Laboratory fume hoods were exhausted by roof mounted constant volume high plume fans. Dee Cramer was contracted to perform the Sheetmetal/HVAC trade package and perform the role as Lead Coordinator for Building Information Modeling and 3D MEP Coordination.
