GAS
INSERTS
Gas inserts are units designed to fit into an
existing masonry or factory-built fireplace. Adding a gas insert
to a drafty hearth can convert a cold fireplace into a high-output
energy-saving heater. Most gas inserts are sealed combustion units,
which means that a chimney liner is used to draw outside air in
for combustion and let exhaust gases out, eliminating drafts and
loss of warm air in your home. Standard blowers in these units increase
the efficiency even more by pushing warm air into your room. These
units are ideal for hard to heat rooms located above crawl spaces
or on slabs and only cost about 12¢ to 16¢ per hour to
operate.
There are many styles and sizes available, just stop by our showroom
to see our large selection of gas fireplace inserts. Be sure to
bring the dimensions of your existing fireplace: front width, depth,
rear width and height. With this information our trained professionals
will help you find the perfect insert for your home.
