Dee Cramer Keeps You Cool During the Summer Sizzle

GENESEE COUNTY (WJRT) - (06/24/13) - On warm days like Monday, staying cool is a must. But what if your air conditioning unit suddenly stops - it's happened to many homeowners this first full week of summer.
It's been another busy day for air conditioning repair companies across Mid-Michigan. We met up with a couple of technicians as they ran from house to house in the summer heat.
Jeff Lund has worked in the industry for 30 years. He's seen his fair share of hot summer days, and it's his schedule that's overheating.
He's slated to make at least seven stops in Genesee and Oakland Counties at homes where the central air quit working, and it's possible more homes could be added to the list before his work day ends.
He's seeing a lot of old units with leaks and in need of new parts. In those cases, he's at least able to give the homeowners some quick relief with a temporary fix.
He'll come back to do a more complete repair when the schedule settles down. At a home in Mundy Township, the A/C went out Saturday. The family of five found ways to stay cool outside until Jeff came to the rescue, Monday.
"They should be running good now, once the dye pumps through, check the U-V light and see where it's leaking and we can go from there. It's all part of the business, you get busy, I don't mind being busy at all. I love the heat, can't stand the winter time," said technician Jeff Lund.
